Dates for May and Amsyar's checklist for a 11.5 mths old

Hi mommies,

How's things going on so far?
Hopefully all are meant well..inshallah.

Amsyar is not feeling well these 2-3 days..and maybe we'll head to Dr Tan tonight for a good remedy :) I guess its because all the traveling and also because baby Amsyar is going to be 1 soon! :) in another 14days.
And we have traveled literally around peninsular this GE13 holidays starting 1st May and reaching back home on the eve of 7th May. We took the SA-NKVE-Gombak-Karak-Jabor-Bandar Almuktafibillah Shah Route to my mum's new place. Visited Kuala Terengganu and travel back to Pasirmas via Jerteh-PasirPuteh-Machang route.And then came down back south via Jeli-Gerik-KKangsar-Ipoh-KL. Nice ya?

Inshallah in another 14 days, Amsyar will become 1.That's one of the reason why May is so special as well.

Ahha.. talking about special May..let me share why may is so special for me.

MAY 2013

5th - Mommy's Birthday!! And GE13. Nice coincidence, ya? But mommy's not voting this yr. Let daddy have his 1st time experience voting :)

12th - Mother's Day!

21st - Daddy's Birthday. gonna be 27 this year :)

23rd - Amsyar Bambam 1st birthday!! Yeay!

28th - Mommy&Daddy's 3rd anniversary!! Double yeay! And alhamdulillah we're still berempat this anniversary..hahah (ok i had 2babies already by our 2nd anniversary)! Triple yeay!!

So many events..happy-nings for this month for me yeay!
And we've done with several make-overs as well in our small house. alhamdulillah.
More projects to come, and do esp with Iman's weekend homeschooling projects and clutter-removal in the house projects as well. Well, let things be small and steady..and at your own pace (and money of course!).

Can your baby do this.. 
Wow! Your baby is now 11.5 months (46 weeks) old.)

By now your baby can: 
  • Put things inside containers and take them out again - CHECKED

  • Relate to and enjoy familiar songs and rhymes - CHECKED -loves azan, itsy bitsy spider, tepuk amai amai and twinkle2 lil stars.

  • Show preference for a particular toy tho this is not so with all babies - CHECKED. Really into cars, his blue ball and ducks (!)

  • Make sounds that are more word-like - CHECKED _mama, daddy, allahabat! (Allahuakbar!), ayam, mamam

  • Use proper words with the right meaning to it eg 'bye' - CHECKED ahaaaa..all words above are with correct meaning/use

  • Display more clingy tendencies - CHECKED ...double CHECKED..sigh (--")

  • Understand the word 'no' but not necessarily obey it - CHECKED ..yes..make mommy turn into hulk sometimes.

  • Respond to her name, and understand simple words like 'no', 'milk' and even very basic simple instructions e.g. "Find Papa". - CHECKED 
By now your baby probably will: 
  • Attempt to feed herself using her own cutlery - CHECKED :)

  • Become more moody and show emotions such as anger or sadness - CHECKED..ah this one is very garang tau..if AbgIman took his toys or books..hehehehhe

  • Prefer your company and is more wary of strangers - CHECKED

  • Gesture towards things that he wants - CHECKED 

  • Develop a greater understanding of your reactions and their possible meanings - CHECKED

  • Communicates his wants through other means besides crying - CHECKED ..pointing boleh ke?

  • Climb up stairs, furniture (do not leave baby unsupervised) - CHECKED ..ahaaa,,dh smp atas pun..very dangerous..and had attempts to climb down pula skrg.

  • Stand without support for brief periods - CHECKED..but still not walking yet..
By now your baby may even: 
  • Be taking her first steps alone - ahaaaa..this one not yet.but not too soon

  • Attempt to scribble with crayons on any surface such as walls, floor etc so best to store away stationary - CHECKED..joined venture already with AbgIman!

  • Drink from a cup without your help - CHECKED

  • Roll the ball back to you during ball play - CHECKED..fav game so far

  • Say two to three more words in addition to 'mama' and 'dada' - CHECKED


So far so good it seems.
But Amsyar has no teeth yet ..hmmm (--")
And only weighs 8.5kg!!
Ringan la for an 11mths old.
Does it relate with breastmilk fed babies? Do they really weight lighter?
Hmm..
