Happy Merdeka Day Malaysia!Its tomorrow! Tp saja je nk wish awal :)



Annual mom-son project as usual is to create a baju/bib and head gear with merdeka theme using used items. So kita cari cari idea apa yang ada.. The assignment was supposedly submitted to the teacher buka buka je sekolah aritu..tp biasalah due to raya and what not..mana nak buatnya..ahahaha

And mommy pun mmg last minute baru nk keluar idea. So we bought buncho paint and tried googling some nice merdeka themed pistures..and! Voila! Siap!! Cantik tak cantik blkg kira. Yang penting semua happy (mommy happy sebab jimat cost, amsyar happy sebab his merdeka gear dah siap!)

Have fun Amsyar in you merdeka parade today! Last year dh in Arif minda.. Dah 4 yrs dh amsyar kat sini dgn teacher Hamidah and teacher Azizah..Tahun dpn dah big boys school darjah satu!

5 TOP MAKAN PLACE JJCM in MELAKA (Our Choice!)

1. MANGO FLOAT ROYAL

Location : Kg Sg Putat, Batu Berendam

Location ni senang je cari via google map or waze. And boleh notice sebab mmg tepi jalan besar opposite to jirat cina batu berendam :) circa 15mins from Ayer Keroh

Why?

Sedap banget yang ni with luscious mango cuts. Ia sebenarnya mango belnd shake yang dlm nya byk chunky pieces of fresh cut mangoes and topped with vanilla ice cream. Sedappp!Kalau dh rasa yg ni..mmg dah tak pandang dh coconut shake klebang..acehh

Verdict :

Akak mmg bg taste  5 star *****

Price pun 5 stars..sebab only RM5.50 per cup! Murah kannn..kitorg beli 4..ehehe

2. IKAN BAKAR MUARA SG DUYONG

Location : Muara Sg Duyong.

Tempatnya agak secluded and jauh sikit ke dalam, tapi restoran dia ala ala terapung atas sungai menjadikan ia tempat yg agak menarik for everyone.

Why?

Sebab sedap & fresh! And teratur aturan waiting tablenya = sgt systematic compared to di Umbai and Parameswara ikan bakar. When you arrive sorg wakil from kita akan beratoq sambil bgtau nak meja for brp org. Then pekerja pekerja dia akan carikan table yg sesuai dgn bilangan kita. Mmg selalu org kesini in groups of 15-18 ramai ramai.

Highly recommended : Udang Masak Butter Garlic and Sotong Celup Tepung

Pro : Seafood mmg A! And fresh! Service food pantas!

Cons : Air dihidang dlm papercup. I tak suka..ehehehe

Price : A lil bit pricey tapi berbaloi dgn food taste yg mmg ada ummpphhh! :)

3. NASI BRIYANI HJ THAMBI

Location : Ujong Pasir.

Restoran di shoplots sederet dgn Hotel Sunflower. Google map or waze mmg senang cari :)

Why?

5 star Nasi Beriyani of course! Nasi dia sedap, lembut and fresh. Kambing sedap. Ayam a little bit kecik kecik.but OK sebab sedap! The rice is soo nice, Amsyar makan mcm tu aje

4 plates of beriyani and drinks cost us RM68.

Mahal sikit lah kann but worth the try! 

4. KUIH KERIA ANTARABANGSA HJ JALIL

Location : Tepi jalan menuju ke Klebang. Kg Limbongan

Yang ni mmg well-known. Try yang kat Batu Berendam (as being proposed) but not the same taste, texture and kelembutan of the kuih.

Hj Jalil's mmg worth the long queuing hours.

Price : Rm0.60 per piece.

5. ASAM PEDAS HJH MONA

Location : (See photo below). Near Casa Del Rio Hotel

Also an easy location.

This one kena ikut tekak. For me the asam pedas daging tetel is a win! Dagingnya lembut and kuah dia smooth ja..ada rs ala kekarian sedikit. I like it but hubsy mcm tak brpa. But for me the asam pedas ikan is a so so. Sebab kuah dia cair sikit.. So i give you a 3.5star in overall!

Asam Pedas comes in a set with rice, teloq masin and taugeh. Additional lauks mcm teloq dadar and ayam goreng panas panas boleh order ad hoc.

Alhmdulillah kenyang! Give it a try okeyy :)

 6.  MEE KARI SG PUTAT

Location : Gerai Mango Float, Kg Sg Putat, Batu Berendam

This one i want to add jugaaaa..ehehehe

Tulis 5 tapi add satu lagi 6. Takpe kaklong kasi bonus satu ahahaha.. Mi kari mmg wajib kalau ke melaka ni. tak kiralah mi kari ori melayu or mi kari nyonya style..

Yang  kat Sg Putat ni sedap and byk lauknya..boleh pilih yg ori, or special or udang galah. Kami try dulu yang ori. Original starts at Rm4.50!

Mi kari melakau mmg sedapp..mmg kawwwwwww :)

Ok tu jer list kita. Try ok!

Muzium Kapal Selam Melaka

So, as dah lama plan nak jejak kan kaki ke muzium ni..kali ni panas berdeting deting pun kita jadikan juga ya nak pergi. The location is in Pantai Klebang near to Dataran 1Malaysia Klebang and those coconut shake Klebang famous stalls. Dekat juga dgn Kedai Keria Hj Jalil Limbongan and about 15mins from area Bandar Hilir (took us 15 mins from Double Tree Hilton)

Our first impression of vessel was : Woah!

Besaq nyaaaaaaaaaa!

 I never imagine that a kapal selam was actually that big! Ehehehe

Orang tak berapa ramai ms ni..just few taking pictures as it was really a scorching hot day.

Nak masuk kena beli tickets. RM5 for adults and RM3 for kids 2 yrs and above. Murah!

And as usual there was the family potrait taking booth. I bought the pic only. For Rm15..ehehe lepas habis nego adik tu nak jual rm40 dgn frame. I kata takmau frame dia kata ok rm25. I kata takmaulah..rm15 i beli.

Under the vessel

Inside the vessel was quite claustrophobic as it was really sempit and one way actually. Ada pamerkan missiles launcher and how the people actually lived inside the vessel (for months!) Adoi..pening memikirkannya aje..how ppl lived inside such a constrained environment for sooo long! Ada katil and bilik for crews. Dapur, toilet and all. It was really new for me. The kids pun suka sebab it was some sort of realistic adventure for them, they kept on asking soo many questions..ahahaha

Fret not...ada aircond inside.ahaha

On the right side outside the kapal selam muzium was the display of 2 actual fighting jets. saya tak brapa minat jets ni..so dont remember the names. sorry!.

Our Visit to Zoo Melaka July 2018

Zoo Melaka 

10.30am 28/07/2018

To be honest, this was the first time we brought the kids to the ourselves! They had their first zoo experience (Zoo Negara) before dgn rombongan tadika. And also to the Wildlife Park in Langkawi (2015). So this is their actual first encounter to the zoo with us.

Tickets to my surprise was quite cheap! RM15 for adults (with mykad) and RM6 for kids 3-12 yrs old. So Mikhail enters for free (yay!) There tram rides provided as well (paid) but we chose to walk, and definitely Mikhail on a stroller. Mikhail was really happy, i was expecting him to sleep halfway..but tidak ya. He was as excited as everybody else looking at all the animals.

We were quite lucky actually that it rained earlier that morning, the weather was not too hot. But the land was a lil damp and slippery tho. Please ensure good walking shoes to start with!

One of our favorites - the huge hippo!! Mikhail mesmerized by the hippo! The den was open and muddy and was absolutely just fine for the hippo. Looking happy berkubang! :)

Another favorite is absolutely the GIRAFFE! Here, we were allowed to feed the giraffes with an additional of RM5 (for the leaves and better access). Mommy pun seriau masa ni as the Giraffes was sooo tall and enourmous. It was really a great first experience for all of us.

All in all it was a really nice (and sweaty) experience. We took nearly 3 hours to complete the visit, pusing all the zoo.. and at the end we were really exhausted! ahaha.

Amenities inside pun elok cnatik ja (food stalls and public toilets), we were happy indeed.

 The animals inside the zoo actually byk, but we didnt get to take pictures of everything, you have to go and look at it in real life to know :) Tigers saja ada few places, Lions ada dua ekor, sunbear, the orangutan, monkeys and bird park, they even have too many species of monkeys that i could not remember to name all. Tapi we missed the camel, koala, kanggaru and panda. All these tak ada. Maybe next time we'll come and visit again. Inshallah :)

Away once in a while - Melaka!!

We're back! 

From a short getaway to our fav place! Melaka :) Melaka je pun. Tapi alhmdulillah dptlah rehat rehat kan minda dgn keluarga sesambil hujung minggu dgn bajet yg berpatutan (read murah)

Why favorite? Because dekat and accomodation is always cheap in melaka..Maybe because of the tourist attraction spot. 

Some choose Penang for their gastronomy adventures, but for me, Melaka has its own uniqueness to offer. Travelling with kids, location and travelling duration is always top priority and not to forget their part of happiness - their lil getaway fav spots.

This time around we visited Zoo Melaka and chose Amverton for its kids pool. Both really made the kids happy :) Amsyar pleaded to go to the zoo again the next morning..ahahaha. Seronok cmpur penat zoo melaka ni..tp mmg worth it lah~

Mommy on the other hand, is too content to the max only with the Mango Float Royale..sedap baq hang! RM5.50 mmg berbaloi baloi beli..kami mula mula beli 3 jah..lepastu tambah lagi satu ahahaha..mcm ketagih jadiknya sorang sorang..mmg terasa mango dia..siap dgn byk ketul ketul buah sesiap dlm tu dahhh..nyamann :) kita tepek satu pic disini buat kenang kenangan.lepas ni mesti kna terjah lagi. Dah tak pandang dh yg klebang punya coconut shake ori..ahaha

The lil guys pun happy je trip kali ni relax relax light and easy je. kami ke zoo, mandi kolam, muzium kapal selam, masjid kg hulu ni..ha tu jelah. relax relax sudah.. A famosa and kwn kwn nya kat banda hilir tu dah pernah g dh..cruise, menara bagai tuh..so kita dh tak pergilah kalini. Maybe lagi 5thn ke kita repeat balik..inshallah.

Amverton Heritage Resort was a so so. Kids pool and kids indoor play area mmg terbaik, tapi overall hotel ni dah shabby sikit. Yelah hotel lama dh ni..masa kecik kecik rasanya namany Puteri Resort. tapi padanlah dgn harga nya, for a weekend stay, we paid RM190 sahaja for a twin bed room yang ada balcony and bath tub. Not bad kan sebab including pool access and breakfast for two. Kids eat for free here(breakfast). Overall i could give a 3 rating for Amverton. Masa duduk Glory Beach resort dulu lg horror biliknya bila teringat balik. But fret not the room was squeaky clean and sound proof. Cuma furniture maybe dah lama.

Oklah nanti kita cerita ceriti lagi. Seronok sebenarnya spend time dgn family. I turutkan je semua apa diorg nak and sabar je dgn segala kerenah just to make everybody relaxed and happy. Guess what..i worked actually.Haha.. Bila kembali ke ofis pun rasa lebih segar and content! we should do this more often i guess. tunggu semua besar sikit kita buat trip g island plak. As for now..nanti nantilah dlu..

Ok jom smbung kerja balik. Hujan lebat betul ni. Maybe kita bancuh kopi sikit.
