Staycation at Amverton Heritage Resort Melaka 2018 - Our Review

This is a long due post. Our staycation story at Amverton Heritage Resort in Melaka last July 2018. The resort was previously known as Puteri Resort and the place is quite old. But all in all, the facilitites was still OK and we had an enjoyable stay.

As long as the pool was nice for the kids, the kids play room is quite big and there's a bath tub ensuite, the boys are pretty much content! Well mommy too of course!

We had a deluxe room which has all the amenities to offer and yet still at an affordable price. Our's was booked via trivago-Expedia worth RM120+ for a weekend stay including breakfast for two. The boys dined for free that morning as we were already a bit late and the spread was at its end. All i could say the room is cheap is it? Bolehlah kan. Try to check the price via online websites as they have offers from time to time.

The kids had a blast at the pool of course! the pool was a bit far from the rooms but the enjoyment was worth it! Let's check out the pics from the pool.

Just a short review,maybe it is a good choice for small families with kids, family days and gatherings but not so recommended for couples planning for a romantic getaway..ahaha. We enjoyed it alhmdulillah.

Dinner at Saujana Putra :)

The deal was, i cook and they come to eat. So when mommy cooks, it means simple food for all. We had, sambal belacan, masak lemak sayur kubis, ayam goreng, ikan goreng, sambal udang and of course ulaman and budu!

Thank you everyone for coming, the food was at abundance that we saved the leftovers and re-serve them for dinner for a different family crowd.

Hello 2019! New challenges ahead!

Assalamualaikum wbt

8th day of 2019 and yet it is just the beginning!

I just started working yesterday and was on leave since 27th Dec to run errands and family matters. Yups just that no such thing as holidaying this end year around.

Well, Zainab came back from Dubai for a short one week stay and zakiyya & kids were in town so i guess we just took the week off and join the crowd. A small unplanned gathering when all 7 grandchildren are around is no joke. At one time we crammed all seven, me, zaynab, zakiyya and my mom in my car to drive to Mitsui outlet for some skechers..ehehhe. It was fun. We surely have to do it again sometime.

Amsyar is in std one this year!!! i know- how time flies right? He's no more my chubby pie, all lanky and hansome and already with his tie school bag and what nots. So far everything is ok. He lost his wallet once, spent all RM5 of his pocket money on milo and hotdogs, but he's learning. Big boy already i must say! Mommy pray for all the best for both of you Iman and Amsyar. Im keeping a close monitoring on what's Dr Maszlee had laid upon malaysia's education system, just to keep my head ahead on what to expect. Hoping to provide what it takes for the boys to cope.

So, all the best for 2019 ya..all the hopes the wishes and the dreams for more opportunities ahead, more holidays and more barakah rezeki inshallah!

Mikhail's 2nd Birthday!!

Mikhail turned 2. Quite a while ago but still mommy wants to post this. Better late than never kan? :)

So we had a quite family party just to keep the memories alive, one pre birthday with Asyu around. My youngest sister, Aliyya (Asyu) turned 22 last 13th Sept as well so it was a combined celebration. Kebetulan masa ni asyu belum fly back to UK yet so Mikhail actually had two parties already. Mommy bought a cake for him on his Real Birthday (30th) later on, just for fun. i actually planned for a birthday celebration at his playschool. but due to time limitation i guess tak palah.next year lah. promise tau mikhail :)

Our Family Genting Trip 2018

Hi uols!

Cuti lama kita raya haji aritu..terasa lama but worth it because we had so many plans executed yang membolehkan those 5 days being well used up. Quality family time I'd rather say. 

Saja berjalan makan angin dekat dekat..beraktiviti and makan beramai ramai. It's fun you know sebab its just like a special small gathering where everybody gets to spend time around you. and you enjoying the company.

Well, raya first kan dah busy gila.. so the next day tu everybody was tad bored, we decided to go sightseeing to : Genting Highlands! Rupanya ramai family members kita yg xpernah sampai pun Genting lagi ..so mohlahhh :)

TBH, GPO was not really our family forte sebab all of us were not really into brands. Plus it was a school holiday (long 5 days weekend) so the GPO was quite full with people shopping and window shopping. We were there because the Awana Skycab access now is only from GPO. The old station has already being close down. This was my first time with the new skycab, and my first time at the GPO :)

The line was quite long but moving and the kiddos were cooperating so, it is ok. It took us around 30-40mins juga in line to reach to our turn :) The skycab is larger than the old one. So big that all of us could fit into a single cab..Ehehehe

Apa yang best nya the new skycab connects directly to the top floor of First Avenue Shopping Mall. So kuranglah sikit nak menapak jauh jauh sebab main attraction and indoor theme park is in First Avenue shopping mall.

Most of the attractions were closed due to renovation at the moment. Well, we just wanted to look around and spend some family time together.hehe. The snow world was open tho, but we decided not to enter as the temperature up there was already freezing, so no need to enter la. Maybe next time, when the mall is re-opened back to public :)
