House Projects and the weekends

ak cerita yg hari sabtu dpt DH hadiah GA liana jasni.alhamdulillah!! Yeay! Rezeki tahun baru.thnx dearie..boleh la buat lg lps ni.  :) Thank you so much. Can add to my collection :)

For us, at home mcm biasa lah..home projects, cooking projects and homeschooling. Just this wk, mom came for lunch all the way from tganu so we postponed our dino making on Saturday. And read dino stories instead. hehehe..


For Sunday, I made some pengat keledek for hubby for a change :) Asyik donuts and cream puffs je..lets go back to kg style basic. Amsyar mmg suka Sgt..licin 2mangkuk! Hahaha..made it less sugar for our general health resolution this yr.hehehe

Let me show u around the House today. Acheh mcm cantik sgt je..i need to get some ideas for these two spaces..one is our reading corner and another is our small playroom. Both are still in the making and really need a make over. Maybe we'll start after CNY, so if you have any ideas, big or small, do drop me a line,ok? Hehehe..

Homeschool Projects 2014 :: The Lion Mask!

Session 2014 has begun! Yeay!!
I have not yet really list down the activities and the wish lists of projects, so we go by random for now.



This week we decided to do lion masks. To explore on using scissors (highly under supervision of course!) and also how glue..makes to paper stick together. Iman is already ready to comprehend on the function of the scissors and had fun on doing it. Amsyar on the other hand, was really into glue at the moment.



Ok. so what do we want to do today?
Yeay! One lion mask and one tigerr!! So lets trace two rounds on a cardboard paper. Here in Malaysia's bookstores it is called manila card.

After tracing we cut through the paper. Mommy did some final trimmings just to make it tidy.

Then we made cut out ears and lion mane for the lion and tiger triangle stripes for the tiger. Then mane was nicely cut-out by Iman. Mommy helped to curl the mane with a pencil.

Then its time to glue! Ears, then mane. Then the stripes! Yeay! Gluing is sticky and fun!

Then mommy helped to draw the ears,nose and lion's mouth. Don't forget the sharp teeth :)
Cut the eye holes! And voila!! The mask is ready!!

It was a fun-tastic activity!!!
Amsyar glued other things as well and poured half the bottle of the glue onto the carpet. But mommy says its ok, that's part of the activity and learning process as well :)

Friday for mommy

Harini genap 7hari Iman kesekolah. Dan alhmdulillah, dropping him off was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier than before. And most precious is that he seems to be happy being sent to school. now i have sold the idea to him that he have to go to school as he is already a big boy. And all he's teachers and friends are waiting for him. I know he's one confident boy and inshallah could socialize well :)

For me, I'm just down exhausted today. Maybe as the routine had changed and taking some extra miles before next week's long holidays for me. i really need good rest. Work is as work can be. The usuals. The non stop projects and activities daily not by routine. My only routine in the office is to head straight to the cafe after punching in and heading back as early as i could the second the 5.30 bell dings off. In between is unpredictable.

I'm a mother of two lil munchkins, only, yet i feel really can't do the supermom thingy. The last day i swept my floor was last Monday. Hahaha.. I could only cook simple dishes for precious Chef Djoul (aka mr hubby) and do the laundry. Others mmg ke laut...hehehe. Betul. By 10pm, my battery storage is already empty. I hope that's normal.

For my family, the least mommy can do is to make us a proper dinner, Inshallah.

Am really looking forward for this weekend as i had promised the boys for a dinosaur project this wkend. Last week we went over together an (mini) encyclopedia of dinosaurs. Yeay!!!Iman’s current obsession are aliens, and dinosaurs. And another one quite funny to mention :: underpants.

Well thanks to his new favorite books. Hahaha.

Well, happy weekends my lovelies! Do you know that my husband works every weekends? So instead of whining over it, I think its quite rather nice to see the glass half full. To take that oppurtunities to find the mommy inside of me and to take my time entirely to entertain, cook and play with the boys. Embracing what is aligned beneath rather than looking what is missing.

I missed a lot in between the 5days I was working.

The boys are growing up really fast in 5days you know.

My 2014 Resolution List!

Lets start simple. To be more objective and achievable ;) Inshallah

1. Eat clean. Drink plenty. Target for 3L of plain water. Avoid sodas and limit on caffein.

2. Early to bed and early up. Try to make breakfast for iman inshallah. 11pm max everyday. And 6.45 on the breakfast table :)

3. Solat awal waktu. All 5times daily. Doa lebih banyak. Inshallah. Habiskan at least Iqra' 1 with Iman and try for jamaah as family timeout :)

4. Reorganize weekend homeschooling. Write down your activities! And plan by monthly. Mommy get organized! New book for homeschooling activities and recipe compilations :)

5. To not get pregnant this year (yet). Inshallah. Let mommy study more on healing and gentle birthing. More information on hypnobirthing and alternatives. Inshallah if have a chance to attend Amani class.

6. Get more brain developing food recipes for my boys. Homemade of course. Learn about homemade natural remedies. Au natural this year for a start

7. Organize more parties (birthdays!!Yeay!)/kesyukuran jamuan and invite ppl to our home.

8. Plan for a getaway by June with the boys. No need to be expensive, just something simple :)

9. Organize work.Organize home.work hard and smart.and try to stay humble.Inshallah.

10. Try to be a great companion and partner to mr hubby. Less whining and nagging and appreciate more. Ingatkan diri selalu tentang mati. Inshallah.

Iman goes to school part 2

Alhmdulillah iman had finished his orientation week. And today the learning process begins. I hope everything seems interesting to Iman and he is happy with it. I don't want to set any limits or expectations to Iman, and let him explore with what he likes. He's in generation alpha afterall.

 It's afterall preschool cum playschool. Not even the real school yet :) Really, if ada rezeki lebih, mommy wil enroll you to Montessori concept school. inshalllah.




Today, he toddles cheerfully to school.
Kissed mommy and daddy and waived goodbye. Finally!!! Such a good boy.already all big and brave :) I think finally he gets to the idea that school is fun :)Alhamdulillah :) :) :)

I asked him ysterday were the cikgu nice..

He said, "takde cikgu, ada teacher"
"Ohoo.. teacher.Teacher baik tak?"
"Teacher baik"
"Teacher ajar apa?"
"Teacher ajar nyanyi songs"
"Owh sing songs? Songs apa?"
"Ahaa sing songs,  abc, 123, little shtarshss"


Hehehe..shtarshs..


"So best x school?"
"Besttttt!!!"

Ok.that's a really great relieve for mommy :)

" Iman mkn x kat school?" -Angguk- "Iman mkn apa?"
" makan nasi, fish, shayurr"


Hmm..a doubt that a lil..




That night, while helping me hang out laundry at 10pm, iman pointed out and asked.
"Tu apa mommy?"
" owh tu moon"
"moon? Shtarss la"
" tu moon, stars yg kecik kecik, twinkle twinkle"
" Oh..!"
Then he started singing " Twinkle lil stars" till the end..
Oh dah pandai!! He nvr sang the whole song. I was so amazed!

"Siapa ajar this song?"
"Teacher!"
"Kat sekolah ke?"
"Kat school la mommy!!"
" ok..school"

So many he could learn in just so little time.
3year olds are really sponges as it's said.

Happy mommy you have found confidence within yourself to be alone at school. Hopefully you grow up to be a strong, healthy,confident and soleh khalifah.
