I am a mother with an energetic toddler. And a soon-to-be energetic toddler to be this coming May.
And this year, I plead to embrace the excess energy instead of denying it in my baby (babies..)~
I found out that flash cards and coloring is too boring for Iman. And storybooks only last 10mins for him.
And TV or videos or Movies never interest him much.He has no favorite cartoon or favorite video yet stood still when boboiboy commercials is aired.
It's not a bad thing, tho. Iman has too much energy to spare :)
Instead let's do some physical challenging things that spell out the word FUN.
Fun mommy to be objective this year..so yes, i'll be.
Weekends will no longer be boring house-chores day.Instead, i will cherish my boys' childhood and let the house be as it is. yes!! :)
If i would be stress in fighting against them (which i were doing last yr..expecting my house to superbly clean and me to be supermom!), i will just join them, and embrace their childhood.
Why not..childhood only comes once :)
Homemade PlayDoh
1 cup water
1 cup flour
1 Tbsp oil
1 Tbsp alum
1/2 cup salt
Vanilla
Food coloring
Mix all dry ingredients together in sauce pan. Add oil and water. Cook over medium heat, stir constantly, until it reaches the consistency of mashed potatoes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and food coloring. Store in an air tight container. You can refrigerate it.No problem. Just add some oil if it becomes too stiff.
We made two colors of dough instead : Red and Green. yeay!! One smelled rose and the other smelled pandan.Hehe, so now we have aroma-therapeutic play-doh :p
But unfortunately yesterday was too late at nite to stimulate Iman's creative side. So I'm really excited to look forward for tonite and the weekends :) :)
So from this day onwards, each time iman wants to help mommy with dinner, he could help 'cut' his doh instead. Yeay for Iman! Double yeay!! for mommy :)
